Can You Play Online with people with the xbox 360 directly using a modem?

yes you can as long and the upload /download speed is at least 256kbps/256kbps and it is a high speed modem and not dial up

then you have to sign up for the silver account, need hotmail or msn email account, if you are under 17 or 18 it will ask for your parents info and make them also sign for hotmail

sometimes you get 1 month free of xbox gold but not always, you need gold to be able to play other people online

yes you can, just hook your xbox360 directly to your modem using an ethernet cable. then start up your 360 and have some fun
