xbox 360 question about online?

ok im planing on buying an xbox 360 but what do i need to play online and another question do i need a credit card to buy a membership or something else because i want to pay on cash

You don't need much but it's expensive. First you need cable or DSL internet, I recommend cable but it's more expensive my service is $50 a month. Second, you should get a router and their about $30-$40. That's all you need and as for the credit card, you don't need one you can just buy a xbox live card at best buy, wal mart, or anywhere that sells electronics and their about $20 for one year of xbox live.
