Are PS3 and Xbox 360 going to have compatability for online gaming?

I heard a rumor that the PS3 (Playstation 3) and the Xbox 360 are going to be able to be compatible with eachother online. Meaning that if I had a PS3 and my friend had an xbox 360 we could play with eachother online. Is this true?

I haven't heard this rumor, but I can almost guarantee you they wont be compatible in any way. They are two different companies competing against each other, Microsoft and Sony. Sorry man don't think its gonna happen.
