Is Xbox 360 Good System to play online with?

Well ive been playing WoW for 2 yrs i think now, im gonna quit soon and im thinking of gettin A 360 and going live on it and stuff? Are there fun games on it, and are there any games like WoW that go online for this system. Please list some good games to go with it. Im already thinking of getting Halo 3 when it comes out, and PGR 3
