Which is better for me? a ps3 or a xbox 360 i like sports, fighting and i guess...

...sometimes shooter games? I have enough money to buy either a ps3 or an xbox 360, but my parents says i cant buy it until the summer. I heard the ps3 will get a lot better in the future. I have searched the internet and still cant come to a conclusion.
I have asked my friends and all but one said to buy a xbox but they are obsessed with halo3,
i love sports games like mvp baseball 05 and fighting games like tekken, soul calibur and even the dragon ball z series (especially the budokai tenkaichi series)
also i remember playing the original doom on my dads old computer and i have always loved it
Which one do you think would be better for me and why?

In my opinion, i would get a PS3. A lot of good games are coming out for it and the ones out already are fantastic. Check out some of the previews for some games. Halo 3 may be for Xbox 360. Thats the only good game thats only for xbox ive heard of. Some games coming out for PS3 are
-Metal Gear Solid 4.
-Killzone 2
-Socom: Confrontation
And some current are
-Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
-Hevenly Sword
So as you see my choice would clearly be the Playstation 3

Well, I'd agree, if you love those games go with PS3. I myself am a Xbox guy, and don't like sony. But it seems your intrested in Ps3 anyways. The answer to your question is PS3.

I would I get a Ps3 cause now it may seem not worth the money but in reality by the end of next year 300 games are expected to be released. also the ps3 has great graphics + you can surf the web play online for free unlike the xbox live + you will have a blue ray dvd player the remotes may be the same but it has the sixaxis if you own a psp you will be glad to know that all the music and movies pictures ect... can be seen via a wi fi ween sotred in the ps3 one of the games that will come out is Tekken 6 will be i my self cant wait if you like the games of tekken you will enjoy playing this one
