How can I get involved in leagues/tournaments for XBOX 360 sports games?

Hello. I am about to buy an XBOX 360 and my main interestes are Football, Hockey and Golf. I would like to participate in some kind of on-line league or tournament. Ideally for football would be a league of 32 people, each of us owning 1 team and playing out an NFL schedule. Are there such leagues? If so, how do I find them or advertise to start one.

Also, does Tiger Woods 2008 have tournaments and an on-line ranking system or anything like that?
